Ms. Wright HOMEWORK ELA: Reading Log SCI: Weather Forecast REMINDER Halloween this Friday! Today was the second and last day of the book fair. We were able to purchase many new books and will have lots of fun reading them. In P.E. today, we went outside and did a really tough fitness circuit using playground equipment. We learned in health and career that it is important to do many different types of exercise to keep our bodies healthy. HOMEWORK ELA: Reading Logs SCI: Weather Forecast HACE: Exercising! REMINDER Halloween is on Friday. Each student is asked to bring one bag of PEANUT FREE candy to school as soon as possible. Today was the first day of the book fair. We were able to go downstairs in the lobby and take a look at all the great books for sale. Some students bought book and others will get a chance tomorrow to buy books. Thank you to the parents who already donated some books to the classroom! We really appreciate any books that we can add to our classroom library. This is the last week for the CBIS Read-A-Thon so make sure you are reading at home. We need 3000 points by Friday; that is about 300 pages per student! Remember, if we get to 10,000 points we will have a Halloween dance on Friday afternoon to celebrate! Let's read! HOMEWORK ELA: Reading Log SCI: Weather Forecast (Tuesday Forecast) MATH: Journal (easiest and hardest multiplication) REMINDER Please bring one or two bags of PEANUT FREE Halloween candy for Friday. We had a fun day in class peer editing and typing up our Survival stories. We also went outside and performed out obstacle courses which were safe and included ten different challenges. I did not get a chance to hand out new Read-A-Thon pages so please record your numbers in your agendas. Thank you again parents for getting those so quickly.
I sent home the results of the SRI test on Wednesday. Please do not be too worried about the results of these tests. If you/your child score below grade level, this just means we will work even harder at school and home to improve by the next test. Next week there will be a book fair on Monday and Tuesday. We did the SRI test this morning which will help us get our reading program really going. Once I am able to tell where everyone's reading level is, I can help a lot more! I am really excited to do a lot more language arts activities, starting with a novel study starting next week.
A big thank you goes out to the parents who got together to gather all the supplies for students. I really appreciate your help in this matter. Can't wait to start using them! HOMEWORK MATH: IXL Review Grade 3 E.1 Multiplication Sentences Unit 3- Lesson 1 (#1-10) Lesson 2 (#1-9) FMQ ELA: Reading Log Spelling Test SCI: Measuring Weather SS: Survival Writing REMINDER Please bring a USB tomorrow if you have one!
